A green concept restaurant in the heart of
Shanghai’s French Concession
Mo is located in a urban garden community and we are committed to sustainability. The bamboo used for our furniture, bar, wall cladding and floor is locally sourced from an abundant renewable resource that effectively binds CO2. Solar panels help heat our water, and we plant herbs in the court yard flower pots and also on our rooftop. Plants filter the air (no smoking in the restaurant, by the way…in the court yard no problem) and help create a calm, peaceful atmosphere. We’re committed to recycling, and are initiating a battery recycling program to help ensure that we keep toxins out of our water and soil.
At Mo we are using hand towel and toilet paper which is recycled by beverage cartons produced by Shanghai Champion Tissue under the supervision of China Environmental Labelling.
For cleaning Mo uses plant based, chemical free, not tasted on animals cleaning products:
Dish washing liquid with eucalyptus oil.
Hand washing with pure mint and rosemary oil
